Practical experiences
"Recording systems should be mobile and available to use anywhere. Whether in the store, sales shop, outdoor lot, directly on the worker or on a fork lift truck - the terminal is available anytime, anywhere for reading, recording and editing via barcode or keyboard. For these tasks, the CASIO DT-930 offers the perfect platform", says Jürgen Sodenkamp, manager at Richard Müller GmbH. "Several DT-930 are ready for use in every store. The simple design and robust construction of the terminals make maintenance and training employees child's play. Thanks to this system we were able to roll out the project in just one month."

The application
The goal of the mobile data recording was to record the inventory data where it is created and can be checked to save time and prevent errors. The store inventory was to be made easier, the required time minimized and the quality of the data improved. Additional important factors were minimal training requirements for employees and tailor-made connection to the goods management system already in place.
The CASIO DT-930 was selected as the perfect hardware platform in cooperation with the Hellweg stores and employees. Decisive factors were the robust construction, simple handling and ease of use offered by the device, as well as the long operating life, reliability and broad selection of options.
The MobiDiK inventory solution from Richard Müller supplies the DT-930 in a complete package with training documents, communication cradle and replacement battery. With these features, even new employees are able to carry out the necessary inventory steps independently after just a minimum amount of training.
