The Challenge
Powerday were moving to a modern new site and wanted to upgrade all of their systems. Drivers had been printing off paper tickets after every job, which then had to be taken back to the office and the information inputted manually. This created an enormous amount of work and a huge paper trail of invoices, as on average the company carries out around 120,000 jobs a year.
Tickets would be lost on occasions, delaying payments into the business. Powerday wanted to reduce this paperwork and speed up their invoicing, so they approached Weighsoft for a solution.
The Requirements
Powerday needed a mobile wireless solution. They needed to increase productivity and communications between drivers and office staff.
The design had to be cost effective and easy to use, rugged, with an internal printer and long battery life. The timescale was particularly tight, as Powerday approached Weighsoft in July and the software had to be ready by the 1st of September.
The Solution
Weighsoft offered the IT-3000 as a solution to Powerday's problems. The wireless device allows drivers to send messages back to the office if they are delayed on a job increasing communication and productivity. When a job is completed, customers sign the IT-3000's screen rather than a piece of paper, saving time and paperwork.

The Benefits

As the IT-3000 prints off dockets and receipts there and then, the legally-required duty of care can be provided immediately and invoices are processed three days earlier than before. This efficiency has meant that bigger agencies are now placing orders and more orders can be completed.
The Future
Weighsoft have just secured orders for a new product, Roundsman Mobile, which is aimed at the dairy industry. The company creates now solutions every year.
